1. Project Introduction
LayerZero ($ZRO) is a cross-chain interoperability protocol designed to enable seamless cross-chain communication and allow assets and data to flow freely across chains. It provides an efficient, secure, and scalable solution through Ultra Light Nodes (ULN), relayers, and oracles.

2. Team & Investment Info
Developed by LayerZero Labs, a tech startup based in Vancouver, British Columbia, the LayerZero protocol was launched in September 2021. LayerZero Labs was founded by three University of New Hampshire alumni – Bryan Pellegrino, Caleb Banister, and Ryan Zarick earlier the same year. Pellegrino is the CEO of the startup, Banister is the Principal Engineer, and Zarick is the CTO.
Funding: LayerZero has raised approximately $263 million from investors, including Sequoia Capital, OpenSea, Uniswap (UNI), and PayPal, along with over 40 other institutional investors.
